Boundary Bay Brewery

I have not been to Boundary Bay Brewery....yet (they sent me this growler), however, it's a pretty well regarded small brewery in Bellingham, WA. They just took a bronze at the GABF for their Imperial Oatmeal Stout (and it has silvered a few times there as well). http://www.bbaybrewery.com

Hawthornes Cafe

Hawthornes Cafe is a beer boutique and gourmet eatery. A Bottle shop that also fills growlers. They have a proprietary growler filling system and special growler cap that they claim will keep the beer fresher longer then a standard growler (not sure if anyone has really tested this). Their growler fills are expensive, however, sometimes worth it because they often have hard to find beers. The food there is pretty amazing (I've only been for brunch). They also have a great bottle selection. This growler came home filled with Cigar City Maduro Oatmeal Brown (very hard to find at the time)! http://hawthornecafe.com/

Lancaster Brewing Company

I actually didn't get this growler at LBC, I aquired it from Cork, a good beer bar in Westmont, NJ. LBC makes some great beer, of note, their Oktoberfest and their Milk Stout. They also have a decent english style IPA, Hop Hog. http://www.lancasterbrewing.com

Sly Fox Brewing Company

I can't say enough about Sly Fox. One of the premier brewers in our area, Sly Fox became well known as one of the first breweries in the area to can. Their Phoenix Pale ale is a fantastic session (and tailgating beer). This growler came from their Phoenixville brew pub, it came home filled with Gang Aft Agley, a limited release, hard to find Scottish Wee Heavy. So delicious! http://www.slyfoxbeer.com

Abita Brewing Company

While I did not visit Abita to get this growler (they sent it to me), I have certainly had my fair share of their brews. A top notch, under-rated brewery from Louisiana. While many people like their Purple Haze, a raspberry wheat beer, I am fond of their Jackamo IPA and Turbodog brown ale. Check out all of their offerings if you can. http://www.abita.com/

Manayunk Brewery

The Manayunk Brewery, located right on the Schuylkill river, is a nice little brewery. Got this while attending their jazz brunch on a Sunday. Well known for their Schuylkill Punch, a raspberry lager. Their best beer is California Dreamin', an imperial IPA, which is what filled this growler. http://www.manayunkbrewery.com/

Tun Tavern

This is from the Tunb Tavern, Atlantic City's only brewery. Named after the bar where the US Marine Corps originally formed (that bar was in Philadelphia), they still have a massive celebration for the USMC birthday every year. Some of the beers here were so-so, I felt maybe they were dumbed down because of being in such a touristy area. The food was excellent. Canal's West Deptford Half Growler

It's really a 32 ounce mason jar, but the Canal's in West Deptford, which has an amazing 8 tap growler station has started using these for high octane and pricey brews. This particular one is filled with the rare Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversary Jack and Ken's Ale, an american style barleywine
